Chef de Cuisine – Conrad Hotel Dubai

Job Overview: Conrad Dubai is looking for an experienced and innovative Chef de Cuisine to lead our kitchen team. The Chef de Cuisine will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, developing new menu items, ensuring high culinary standards, and managing kitchen staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the kitchen team, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Develop and design innovative and high-quality menu items.
  • Supervise food preparation and presentation to maintain high standards.
  • Monitor and control food costs, portion sizes, and waste to maximize efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Collaborate with the Food & Beverage Manager to plan and execute special events and promotions.
  • Conduct regular kitchen inspections and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques and ingredients into the menu.
  • Handle guest feedback and special requests, ensuring exceptional dining experiences.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Cuisine or similar leadership role in a high-end hotel or restaurant.
  • Strong culinary skills and a creative approach to menu development.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
