Beautiful, luxury resort in Antigua Restaurant Manager!

The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the resort’s  restaurant. This role requires ensuring high-quality service, managing staff, optimizing guest satisfaction, and maintaining seamless operational flow in a luxury setting. The Restaurant Manager will act as the primary liaison between the guests, culinary team, and service staff, ensuring a world-class dining experience.

Restaurant Manager Key Responsibilities:

  1. Guest Experience Management:
    • Provide a personalized and exceptional dining experience to guests, ensuring every aspect of their meal exceeds expectations.
    • Address any guest concerns or feedback in a professional and efficient manner.
    • Create an inviting, warm, and refined atmosphere that reflects the resort’s luxury standards.
  2. Team Leadership & Staff Management:
    • Hire, train, and supervise restaurant staff, including servers, bartenders, and hosts, ensuring they maintain high standards of hospitality and professionalism.
    • Develop team schedules, ensuring proper staffing levels for peak and off-peak hours.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to staff to foster growth and improvement.
  3. Operations Management:
    • Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and timely food and beverage delivery.
    • Monitor and manage inventory, including ordering supplies, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining stock levels.
    • Ensure all health and safety regulations, sanitation standards, and resort policies are adhered to.
  4. Financial Management & Budgeting:
    • Manage the restaurant’s budget, including labor costs, food costs, and beverage costs, working to achieve financial goals.
    • Prepare financial reports, track sales, and implement strategies to improve profitability and cost-efficiency.
    • Optimize revenue opportunities, including promoting special events, seasonal menus, and guest packages.
  5. Collaboration with Culinary Team:
    • Work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure the quality and timely preparation of all food and beverages.
    • Coordinate special requests, dietary needs, and private dining events as required.
  6. Brand Representation & Marketing:
    • Represent the restaurant in resort-wide events and collaborate with the marketing team to promote dining experiences.
    • Monitor and manage the restaurant’s online reputation, responding to guest reviews and feedback across platforms.
  7. Administrative Tasks:
    • Handle reservation systems and guest bookings efficiently.
    • Ensure proper communication between the front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
    • Maintain accurate records related to staff, inventory, and guest preferences.

Restaurant Manager Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
    • Proficiency in restaurant management software, POS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Knowledge of fine dining etiquette and wine service.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Personal Traits:

    • Strong understanding of luxury standards and expectations.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
