Role Overview – Operations Manager (Catering)
As the Operations Manager – F&B Operations, you will oversee the entire catering function, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, maintaining high-quality service standards, and driving efficiency across all departments.
This leadership role requires someone with a proven catering industry background, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage large teams while keeping customer satisfaction at the core.
Your primary responsibility will be to plan, coordinate, and execute catering operations while maintaining compliance with company policies, UAE regulations, and international F&B standards.
Key Responsibilities
As Operations Manager, your role will be both strategic and hands-on. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Catering Operations Management – Lead, supervise, and oversee day-to-day catering operations, ensuring smooth service delivery.
Client Relationship Handling – Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Menu & Event Planning – Work closely with culinary teams to design menus for corporate clients, special events, and large-scale catering projects.
Cost Control & Budgeting – Monitor operational costs, control wastage, and maximize efficiency while ensuring profitability.
Team Leadership – Train, mentor, and manage catering teams including chefs, service staff, and logistics personnel.
Health, Safety & Hygiene Compliance – Ensure adherence to Dubai Municipality food safety standards and HACCP guidelines.
Vendor & Supplier Management – Coordinate with procurement for sourcing high-quality raw materials and F&B supplies.
Quality Assurance – Implement strict quality checks across production, storage, and service delivery.
Logistics & Inventory Oversight – Manage transportation, storage, and timely delivery of catering services.
Reporting & Performance Tracking – Prepare operational reports for senior management and highlight areas for improvement.
Candidate Requirements
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess the following:
Catering Experience (Mandatory): Minimum 7–10 years in F&B operations with at least 3 years in catering.
Educational Background: Degree/Diploma in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Management, or related field.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead large teams in a high-pressure environment.
Operational Expertise: Strong understanding of catering logistics, menu planning, and large-scale food service delivery.
Customer Orientation: Ability to deliver top-quality service and maintain strong client relationships.
Knowledge of UAE Regulations: Familiarity with Dubai Municipality requirements, HACCP, and food safety standards.
Languages: Fluency in English (Arabic/Hindi/Tagalog an advantage).
