Position: Director of Housekeeping

Role Overview

The Director of Housekeeping will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the housekeeping operations, ensuring the highest standards of luxury, cleanliness, and comfort are consistently delivered across guestrooms, suites, villas, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. This pre-opening role requires an inspiring leader with exceptional attention to detail, the ability to build and train a high-performing team, and a passion for creating elevated guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and oversee housekeeping standards, procedures, and brand guidelines to align with Rosewood’s ultra-luxury positioning.

  • Lead the pre-opening set-up of the housekeeping department, including recruitment, training, and establishment of SOPs.

  • Manage daily operations to ensure the highest levels of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation across all areas of the property.

  • Work closely with Rooms Division and Engineering teams to maintain property standards and preventive maintenance schedules.

  • Monitor and control departmental budgets, inventory, and operating supplies.

  • Drive guest satisfaction through attention to detail, personalized service, and proactive communication.

  • Recruit, coach, and develop a motivated housekeeping team, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and accountability.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as Rosewood brand and Red Sea Global standards.

  • Collaborate with other departments to deliver seamless luxury experiences for every guest.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 8–10 years of housekeeping leadership experience within luxury or ultra-luxury hotels/resorts.

  • Proven pre-opening experience highly desirable.

  • Strong people leadership, training, and team development skills.

  • Exceptional organizational skills with a focus on detail and service excellence.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Culturally adaptable with international experience preferred.
