Chef de Partie (CDP) The Host, Al Ain

Position Summary: The (CDP) Chef de Partie will lead a specific section of the kitchen (e.g., grill, pantry, pastry) and ensure consistent food quality, hygiene, and smooth kitchen operations. This is a key role in supporting the Sous Chef and mentoring junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and execute food preparation for your section

  • Maintain consistency in presentation, taste, and hygiene

  • Ensure all mise en place is prepared ahead of service

  • Train and guide Demi CDPs and Commis

  • Coordinate with other kitchen sections for timely service

  • Comply with HACCP and food safety standards

  • Monitor stock levels and communicate needs to the Sous Chef

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of culinary experience in upscale or all-day dining

  • Culinary diploma or relevant certification

  • Expertise in handling a designated kitchen station

  • Leadership and time management skills

  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment and food costing


👨‍🍳 Demi Chef de Partie (DCDP)

📍 Location: The Host, Al Ain

Position Summary:
As a Demi Chef de Partie, you will assist the CDP in running a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring all prep, cooking, and service activities are carried out to high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with food prep and cooking in assigned kitchen section

  • Follow recipes and presentation standards

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

  • Support Commis chefs and communicate clearly with CDP

  • Report any maintenance or stock issues promptly

  • Uphold kitchen safety and hygiene protocols

Requirements:

  • 2–3 years of kitchen experience

  • Culinary training or equivalent experience

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong understanding of food safety practices


Commis Chef (Commis I/II/III)

📍 Location: The Host, Al Ain

Position Summary:
The Commis Chef assists in food preparation under the supervision of the CDP or DCDP. This is a learning and growth role, ideal for those beginning their culinary career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare ingredients, sauces, and garnishes as directed

  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas and equipment

  • Ensure timely preparation and plate-up during service

  • Follow kitchen SOPs and food safety guidelines

  • Take part in kitchen deep cleaning and stock rotation

Requirements:

  • 1–2 years of culinary experience or internship

  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn

  • Understanding of basic cooking techniques

  • Willingness to work varied shifts and support the team


Kitchen Steward

📍 Location: The Host, Al Ain

Position Summary:
The Kitchen Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, ensuring a hygienic environment for food production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, and utensils

  • Clean kitchen equipment, floors, and work surfaces

  • Manage waste disposal and keep the back-of-house tidy

  • Support kitchen staff with deliveries and stock organization

  • Follow HACCP, hygiene, and safety procedures

Requirements:

  • Prior experience as steward or janitorial role preferred

  • Ability to handle physical workload and long hours

  • Attention to detail and team-oriented attitude

  • Understanding of kitchen hygiene protocols
