Senior Civil Inspector – Bureau Veritas, Saudi Arabia

Bureau Veritas, a leading provider of testing, inspection, and certification services, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Inspector to join our team in Saudi Arabia. As part of our Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) division, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and compliance of civil construction projects.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 8 to 10 years of relevant experience for Inspectors, with over 12 years of experience for senior roles, including a minimum of 5-9 years in QA/QC.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is mandatory.

Senior Civil Inspector Key Responsibilities:

  1. Inspection and Compliance: Conduct comprehensive inspections of civil construction projects to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and project specifications.
  2. Quality Assurance: Oversee the implementation of full Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures, including ISO standards, throughout all stages of civil construction activities.
  3. Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation of inspection findings, test results, compliance reports, and project documentation.
  4. Defect Identification: Identify and report any deviations, defects, or non-conformities in construction materials, methods, or workmanship, and coordinate corrective actions as necessary.
  5. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with project teams, including engineers, contractors, and clients, to address quality-related issues and ensure project milestones are met.
  6. Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks associated with civil construction projects, proactively identifying potential hazards and implementing preventive measures.
  7. Continuous Improvement: Participate in the continuous improvement of QA/QC processes, providing insights and recommendations for enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in full Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures, including ISO standards, relevant to civil construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction techniques, and materials.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and engage with diverse stakeholders effectively.
