Rooms Division Shift Leader – Hotel Excelsior Venice Lido Resort

Position Overview: Hotel Excelsior Venice Lido Resort is seeking a dedicated and experienced Rooms Division Shift Leader to join our team. As the Rooms Division Shift Leader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel’s rooms division department during assigned shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Guest Services: Provide exceptional guest service by assisting with check-in, check-out, reservations, and addressing guest inquiries and concerns during assigned shifts.
  2. Front Desk Operations: Oversee front desk operations, including managing arrivals and departures, room assignments, key control, and cashiering functions.
  3. Team Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the activities of front office staff, housekeeping, and other rooms division departments, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and guest service standards.
  4. Problem Resolution: Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly and effectively, escalating complex issues to management as needed to ensure guest satisfaction.
  5. Shift Management: Manage shift schedules, staffing levels, and task assignments to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operation of the rooms division department.
  6. Safety and Security: Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff by enforcing hotel policies and procedures, monitoring security cameras, and responding to emergencies as necessary.
  7. Communication: Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure seamless coordination and cooperation during shift transitions and throughout the day.
  8. Training and Development: Provide training, coaching, and feedback to front office and housekeeping staff to enhance performance, productivity, and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in front office or rooms division roles, with demonstrated leadership abilities and a track record of delivering exceptional guest service.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations, including front desk procedures, reservations systems, and housekeeping standards.
  • Familiarity with property management systems (PMS) and other hospitality technology platforms.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by the demands of the hospitality industry.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
