Restaurant Supervisor – Hotel Excelsior Venice Lido Resort

Position Overview: Hotel Excelsior Venice Lido Resort is seeking a motivated and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to join our team. The Restaurant Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dining outlets and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate restaurant staff, including servers, hosts/hostesses, and bussers, to ensure efficient service and adherence to quality standards.
  2. Service Excellence: Maintain high standards of service quality, professionalism, and hospitality, leading by example and providing guidance to staff members as needed.
  3. Guest Satisfaction: Anticipate and respond to guest needs and preferences, resolving any issues or concerns promptly to ensure a positive dining experience.
  4. Shift Management: Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, shift scheduling, and delegation of tasks to ensure smooth service flow and optimal staff coverage.
  5. Training and Development: Conduct training sessions and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to restaurant staff, helping them develop their skills and knowledge of menu items, service techniques, and company policies.
  6. Ordering and Inventory: Monitor inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies, placing orders as needed and ensuring proper storage, handling, and rotation of perishable items.
  7. Safety and Hygiene: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, conducting regular inspections of dining areas, equipment, and storage areas to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  8. Sales and Revenue: Promote menu items, specials, and promotions to maximize sales and revenue opportunities, upselling and cross-selling as appropriate to enhance the guest experience and increase profitability.


  • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within the restaurant industry, preferably in a hotel or resort setting.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team to achieve common goals.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu items, preparation methods, and service standards.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the demands of the restaurant schedule.
  • Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
