Position Overview: Hotel Excelsior Venice Lido Resort is seeking a skilled and passionate Restaurant Manager to lead our dining operations. As the Restaurant Manager, you will oversee all aspects of restaurant management, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational efficiency, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Leadership: Provide hands-on leadership and supervision to the restaurant team, including servers, hosts, bartenders, and support staff, ensuring high standards of service delivery and guest satisfaction.
  2. Guest Experience: Create a welcoming and memorable dining experience for guests, anticipating their needs, addressing concerns, and maintaining a positive atmosphere throughout the restaurant.
  3. Staff Training and Development: Recruit, train, and mentor restaurant staff, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement, and promoting professional growth and development.
  4. Menu Planning and Execution: Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and execute innovative and appealing menu offerings, ensuring quality, consistency, and profitability.
  5. Inventory and Cost Control: Monitor inventory levels, food and beverage costs, and operational expenses, implementing cost-effective measures to optimize profitability while maintaining quality standards.
  6. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, implementing and enforcing standard operating procedures to maintain a safe and hygienic environment for guests and staff.
  7. Sales and Revenue Generation: Drive sales and revenue growth through effective marketing initiatives, upselling strategies, and promotional activities, maximizing revenue opportunities while controlling costs.
  8. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with guests, soliciting feedback, addressing concerns, and fostering loyalty and repeat business.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in restaurant management roles, with a track record of success in delivering exceptional dining experiences and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team to achieve common goals.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities, with a focus on building rapport and exceeding guest expectations.
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations, including food and beverage service, inventory management, and POS systems.
  • Understanding of financial principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the demands of the hospitality industry.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
