Housekeeping Supervisor – Abu Dhabi

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of the housekeeping staff to ensure that all areas of the establishment are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and orderliness. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with team members and management.

Housekeeping Supervisor Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and direct the work of housekeeping staff, including room attendants, janitors, and laundry personnel.
  2. Develop and implement cleaning schedules, procedures, and protocols to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the establishment.
  3. Train new employees on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and company policies.
  4. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards and identify areas for improvement.
  5. Coordinate with other departments, such as front desk and maintenance, to ensure timely response to guest requests and maintenance issues.
  6. Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment and place orders as needed.
  7. Handle guest complaints and concerns regarding housekeeping issues promptly and professionally.
  8. Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, employee schedules, and performance evaluations.
  9. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to housekeeping staff on a regular basis.
  10. Enforce safety regulations and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for all staff members.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  2. Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  3. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  4. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  5. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals used in commercial cleaning operations.
  6. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Proficiency in basic computer skills, including email, Microsoft Office, and scheduling software.
  8. Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
  9. Understanding of health and safety regulations and procedures.
  10. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Eligibility Criteria:
– Based in UAE
