Housekeeping Attendant Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform cleaning duties in guest rooms, suites, corridors, stairways, and public areas of the hotel according to established standards and procedures.
  2. Make beds, change linens, and replace towels and toiletries as needed to ensure cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
  3. Dust furniture, vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and empty wastebaskets to maintain a tidy and hygienic environment.
  4. Clean and sanitize bathrooms, showers, sinks, mirrors, and fixtures using designated cleaning agents and disinfectants.
  5. Replenish guest amenities such as soap, shampoo, conditioner, and toilet paper to ensure availability and guest comfort.
  6. Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards observed during cleaning rounds to the housekeeping supervisor or maintenance team.
  7. Handle and store cleaning equipment, supplies, and chemicals safely and securely to prevent accidents or misuse.
  8. Follow proper procedures for handling lost and found items, guest requests, and special instructions provided by hotel management or guests.
  9. Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation regulations and guidelines to maintain a clean, safe, and healthy work environment.
  10. Maintain confidentiality and respect guests’ privacy and security by safeguarding personal belongings and sensitive information.
  11. Assist with special cleaning projects, room setups, and other housekeeping tasks as directed by supervisors or management.
  12. Collaborate with other housekeeping staff and departments to ensure efficient and coordinated service delivery.

Housekeeping Attendant Requirements:

  1. Must be currently available in the UAE.
  2. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar housekeeping position within the hotel industry.
  3. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals used in housekeeping operations.
  4. Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
  6. Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, bend, lift, and stand for extended periods.
  7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  8. Professional demeanor and positive attitude towards guests and colleagues.
  9. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
  10. Legal eligibility to work in the UAE.
