Food and Beverage Supervisor – Abu Dhabi

The Food and Beverage Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the food and beverage outlets within a hospitality establishment. This position requires strong leadership, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery while maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness.

Food and Beverage Supervisor Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and coordinate the activities of F&B staff, including servers, bartenders, hosts/hostesses, and support staff, to ensure exceptional guest service and satisfaction.
  2. Assist in recruiting, training, and evaluating F&B personnel, providing guidance and feedback to help them excel in their roles.
  3. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies, and place orders as needed to ensure adequate stock while minimizing waste and spoilage.
  4. Ensure that all F&B outlets adhere to health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including proper food handling and storage practices.
  5. Assist in developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for F&B operations to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  6. Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and concerns regarding food and beverage service promptly and professionally, striving to resolve issues to the satisfaction of the guest.
  7. Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food and beverages, maintaining communication to ensure smooth service flow.
  8. Monitor F&B sales and expenses, identifying opportunities to increase revenue and minimize costs while maintaining profitability.
  9. Assist in developing and implementing promotional activities, special events, and menu offerings to attract and retain guests.
  10. Conduct regular inspections of F&B outlets to ensure cleanliness, organization, and adherence to company standards.
  11. Maintain positive relationships with suppliers, vendors, and service providers, negotiating contracts and agreements as needed.
  12. Assist in coordinating and overseeing special events, functions, and catering services, ensuring flawless execution and guest satisfaction.


  1. High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
  2. Previous experience in food and beverage operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
  3. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  4. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and management.
  5. Proficiency in computer skills, including knowledge of restaurant management software, POS systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
  6. Knowledge of food and beverage trends, industry best practices, and customer preferences.
  7. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed to meet the demands of the business.
  8. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  9. Understanding of financial principles and the ability to analyze financial reports and data to make informed decisions.
  10. Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.

– Based in UAE
