Floor Manager – Soho Garden Dubai
As the Floor Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and activities on the floor of our establishment. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the smooth flow of operations, maintaining high standards of customer service, and fostering a positive work environment for our staff.
Floor Manager Key Responsibilities:
- Staff Supervision and Training:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of floor staff, including servers, hosts, and bussers.
- Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to ensure that all team members deliver excellent service and adhere to established standards.
- Create and maintain staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours and special events.
- Customer Service Excellence:
- Interact with customers to ensure satisfaction, address concerns, and resolve any issues that may arise during their visit.
- Monitor service standards and guest feedback, implementing improvements as necessary to enhance the overall customer experience.
- Lead by example in delivering exceptional service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Oversee the setup and organization of the dining area, ensuring that tables are properly set, and the ambiance is conducive to a pleasant dining experience.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food delivery and address any issues or delays promptly.
- Monitor inventory levels of dining room supplies, such as linens, utensils, and condiments, and place orders as needed to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Quality Control and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, sanitation standards, and licensing requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections of the dining area and equipment to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and take appropriate corrective action.
- Enforce company policies and procedures regarding customer service, alcohol service, and employee conduct.
- Team Leadership and Motivation:
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment by encouraging teamwork, collaboration, and open communication among staff members.
- Recognize and reward outstanding performance, and address any performance issues or disciplinary matters in a fair and consistent manner.
- Motivate and inspire team members to achieve their goals and contribute to the overall success of the establishment.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role in the hospitality industry, preferably in a restaurant or food service setting.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with staff at all levels.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a focus on attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and other restaurant management software.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support the operation of the establishment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in hospitality management or related field is a plus.
