Floor Manager – Soho Garden Dubai

As the Floor Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and activities on the floor of our establishment. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the smooth flow of operations, maintaining high standards of customer service, and fostering a positive work environment for our staff.

Floor Manager Key Responsibilities:

  1. Staff Supervision and Training:
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of floor staff, including servers, hosts, and bussers.
    • Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to ensure that all team members deliver excellent service and adhere to established standards.
    • Create and maintain staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours and special events.
  2. Customer Service Excellence:
    • Interact with customers to ensure satisfaction, address concerns, and resolve any issues that may arise during their visit.
    • Monitor service standards and guest feedback, implementing improvements as necessary to enhance the overall customer experience.
    • Lead by example in delivering exceptional service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
  3. Operational Efficiency:
    • Oversee the setup and organization of the dining area, ensuring that tables are properly set, and the ambiance is conducive to a pleasant dining experience.
    • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food delivery and address any issues or delays promptly.
    • Monitor inventory levels of dining room supplies, such as linens, utensils, and condiments, and place orders as needed to maintain adequate stock levels.
  4. Quality Control and Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, sanitation standards, and licensing requirements.
    • Conduct regular inspections of the dining area and equipment to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and take appropriate corrective action.
    • Enforce company policies and procedures regarding customer service, alcohol service, and employee conduct.
  5. Team Leadership and Motivation:
    • Foster a positive and supportive work environment by encouraging teamwork, collaboration, and open communication among staff members.
    • Recognize and reward outstanding performance, and address any performance issues or disciplinary matters in a fair and consistent manner.
    • Motivate and inspire team members to achieve their goals and contribute to the overall success of the establishment.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role in the hospitality industry, preferably in a restaurant or food service setting.
  2. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with staff at all levels.
  3. Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a focus on attention to detail and accuracy.
  4. Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
  5. Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and other restaurant management software.
  6. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support the operation of the establishment.
  7. High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in hospitality management or related field is a plus.
