Demi Chef de Partie: Café Restaurant Dubai is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Demi Chef de Partie (DCDP) to join our culinary team. The DCDP will play a crucial role in assisting the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in food preparation and ensuring the highest standards of culinary excellence.

Job Description: Demi Chef de Partie (DCDP)

Location: Café Restaurant Dubai

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Café and Restaurant environment.

Language: Proficiency in English.

Job Type: Full-time

Availability: Candidates must be available to join immediately.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Food Preparation:
    • Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items as directed by the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
    • Follow recipes, portion control guidelines, and presentation standards to maintain consistency and quality.
    • Ensure that all food products are prepared, stored, and handled safely and in accordance with food safety regulations.
  2. Station Management:
    • Manage and organize assigned kitchen station, including maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.
    • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, and communicate replenishment needs to the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
    • Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food production and service.
  3. Quality Control:
    • Conduct quality checks on food items to ensure they meet the café’s standards for taste, texture, and appearance.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for food preparation and production.
    • Respond promptly to customer feedback and complaints, and take corrective actions as necessary.
  4. Team Collaboration:
    • Collaborate effectively with other members of the kitchen team to achieve culinary objectives and maintain a positive work environment.
    • Provide guidance and support to Commis Chefs and kitchen assistants as needed.
    • Assist in training new kitchen staff and ensuring adherence to kitchen protocols and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Demi Chef de Partie (DCDP) in a Café and Restaurant setting.
  • Proficiency in English language.
  • Culinary certification or diploma from a recognized culinary institute is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
