Position Overview: Hotel Excelsior Venice Lido Resort is seeking a talented and ambitious Demi Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. The Demi Chef de Partie will assist in the preparation and presentation of culinary delights that enchant our guests’ taste buds.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of food items according to standard recipes and specifications under the guidance of senior chefs.
  2. Station Management: Manage a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring all food items are prepared, cooked, and presented to the highest standards.
  3. Quality Control: Maintain quality and consistency in food preparation and presentation, adhering to the resort’s culinary standards and hygiene regulations.
  4. Menu Contribution: Contribute creative ideas and suggestions to menu development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative techniques.
  5. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the culinary team to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service delivery.
  6. Training and Development: Mentor and train Commis chefs and kitchen apprentices, imparting culinary skills and knowledge to support their growth and development.
  7. Kitchen Hygiene: Uphold cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, including equipment maintenance and sanitation practices.


  • Previous experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or equivalent role in a reputable hotel, restaurant, or resort.
  • Proficiency in culinary techniques and food preparation methods, with a passion for creativity and excellence in the kitchen.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the demands of the operation.
  • Fluency in English; additional language skills are advantageous.
