Position Overview: Hotel Excelsior Venice Lido Resort is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis de Rang/Bar to join our team. The Commis de Rang/Bar will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service in our restaurant and bar areas, contributing to memorable dining and drinking experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Service Support: Assist the Chef de Rang/Bar and Demi Chef de Rang/Bar in providing attentive and personalized service to guests in the restaurant and bar, ensuring their needs are met promptly and courteously.
  2. Table and Bar Assistance: Support in setting up tables, arranging table settings, and preparing the bar area for service, maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the shift.
  3. Beverage Preparation: Assist in preparing and serving beverages, including non-alcoholic drinks, cocktails, and coffee, following established recipes and presentation standards to meet guest expectations.
  4. Order Delivery: Help deliver food and beverage orders to guest tables and bar patrons, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and presentation in line with the hotel’s standards.
  5. Menu Knowledge: Familiarize yourself with the menu offerings, including food and beverage options, specials, and promotions, to assist guests with their selections and provide recommendations as needed.
  6. Customer Interaction: Interact with guests warmly and professionally, greeting them upon arrival, taking orders, answering questions, and addressing any concerns or special requests they may have.
  7. Hygiene and Safety: Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, including proper food handling and hygiene practices, to maintain a clean and safe environment for guests and colleagues.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or bar environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and positive attitude towards guests and colleagues.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment, maintaining composure and professionalism during busy periods.
  • Attention to detail and a willingness to learn and grow in the hospitality industry.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the demands of the operation.
  • Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
