Chef de Cuisine – Jumeirah Bali

Job Description: Jumeirah Bali is currently seeking a talented and experienced Chef de Cuisine to join our culinary team. The Chef de Cuisine will be responsible for leading and managing the kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, creativity, and presentation are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Menu Planning and Development:
    • Develop innovative and creative menus that reflect the culinary vision of Jumeirah Bali.
    • Collaborate with the executive chef and culinary team to conceptualize and execute seasonal menus and special events.
  2. Kitchen Operations Management:
    • Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
    • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards, as well as regulatory requirements.
    • Supervise and train kitchen staff to maintain high standards of culinary excellence.
  3. Quality Control:
    • Maintain strict quality control measures to ensure consistency and excellence in food presentation and taste.
    • Conduct regular inspections of food items, equipment, and kitchen facilities to ensure cleanliness and adherence to standards.
  4. Cost Control and Budget Management:
    • Monitor food costs and wastage to maximize profitability and minimize expenses.
    • Work closely with the executive chef and procurement team to source quality ingredients at competitive prices.
  5. Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and motivate the kitchen team to achieve excellence in culinary performance.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment conducive to creativity, innovation, and growth.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Cuisine or similar role in a luxury hotel or fine dining establishment.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized culinary school.
  • Strong culinary skills and proficiency in a variety of cooking techniques and cuisines.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and work well under pressure.
  • Passion for food and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
