We are seeking an experienced and passionate Banquet Manager to join our pre-opening team. This role requires a dynamic professional who can lead all aspects of banquet planning, set-up, execution, and service – ensuring every event reflects the EDITION brand’s standards of excellence. The Banquet Manager will contribute to the development of banquet SOPs, team recruitment & training, and service innovation ahead of opening.

As a member of the pre-opening team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the standards and culture of our iconic destination before it opens to guests.


Banquet Manager Responsibilities:

Pre-Opening Phase:

  • Collaborate with the F&B Director and Sales team to define banquet operations plans and concepts.

  • Assist in designing event menus in coordination with the culinary team.

  • Develop banquet-specific SOPs, checklists, and service guidelines in alignment with EDITION standards.

  • Recruit, train, and onboard a world-class banqueting team focused on guest experience and attention to detail.

  • Support the setup and testing of banquet spaces, AV systems, banquet pantry, and service equipment.

  • Participate in mock service trials and pre-opening events to ensure readiness for go-live.

Post-Opening Operations:

  • Oversee the daily operations of all banqueting functions including corporate events, weddings, social gatherings, and VIP galas.

  • Coordinate closely with Sales, Events, Kitchen, AV, and Housekeeping departments to ensure seamless execution.

  • Lead the Banquet team in setup, execution, and breakdown of events, maintaining luxury service standards.

  • Ensure consistent service excellence and guest satisfaction across all event types.

  • Manage inventory, linen, tableware, and banquet equipment to ensure availability and quality.

  • Analyze event feedback and implement continuous improvement strategies.

  • Maintain strict hygiene and safety protocols in accordance with Saudi regulations and Marriott standards.

  • Monitor departmental costs and support budget adherence.


Banquet Manager Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in luxury hotel banqueting, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

  • Previous pre-opening or rebranding experience is highly preferred.

  • Experience in high-profile or large-scale event operations in the Middle East or luxury hospitality brands is a plus.

  • Strong knowledge of banquet sales cycles, event planning, and execution.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

  • Proficient in event management software and Microsoft Office.

  • Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.

  • Flexible with working hours, including weekends and holidays.
