Bakery/Pastry Chef – Royal Continental Hotel & Suites, Dubai

Royal Continental Hotel & Suites, Dubai, is seeking a skilled Bakery/Pastry Chef with 3-4 years of experience to join our esteemed culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality baked goods and pastries that meet our guests’ expectations and uphold our hotel’s reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare a wide variety of baked goods and pastries, including bread, cakes, cookies, and desserts, following traditional and modern recipes.
• Design and create new, innovative pastry items to enhance the guest experience.
• Oversee the daily operations of the bakery and pastry section, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Manage the preparation and presentation of pastries and baked goods for buffets, à la carte menus, and special events.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the bakery/pastry kitchen.
• Monitor ingredient inventory, order supplies, and manage stock levels.
• Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Train and supervise junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff.

Requirements:

• 3-4 years of relevant experience as a Bakery/Pastry Chef in a reputable establishment.
• Must be currently residing in the UAE.
• Proficiency in baking techniques and pastry creation, with a strong attention to detail.
• Creativity and ability to develop new pastry concepts and recipes.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
