Assistant Manager Hard Services Job Description:

Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in Facility Management with expertise in Commercial Buildings

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the overall management of hard services operations within commercial buildings, ensuring the highest standards of efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  2. Collaborate with the Facility Manager to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to optimize hard services operations and achieve organizational objectives.
  3. Supervise and coordinate the activities of technicians, engineers, and maintenance staff, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure timely and effective service delivery.
  4. Conduct regular inspections and assessments of building systems, equipment, and facilities to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and areas for improvement.
  5. Oversee the planning and execution of preventive maintenance programs, reactive maintenance tasks, and capital improvement projects in accordance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  6. Monitor and manage service contracts, vendor relationships, and procurement activities related to hard services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to quality standards.
  7. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, policies, and procedures, and promote a culture of safety awareness and risk management among staff and contractors.
  8. Develop and maintain comprehensive records, reports, and documentation related to hard services activities, performance metrics, and budget expenditures.
  9. Participate in budget planning, forecasting, and financial analysis to optimize resource allocation and control operating costs.
  10. Foster positive relationships with clients, tenants, and stakeholders, addressing their concerns, resolving issues, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facility Management, or related field required; professional certifications in facility management or engineering disciplines preferred.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in Facility Management, with a focus on hard services management within commercial buildings or similar facilities.
  3. Strong technical knowledge and expertise in building systems, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) services, and maintenance practices.
  4. Proven leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a diverse team of professionals.
  5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
  6. Sound understanding of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices in facility management, health, safety, and environmental compliance.
  7. Proficiency in computer applications and facility management software for maintenance management, work order tracking, and reporting.
  8. Results-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, innovation, and achieving operational excellence.
  9. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  10. Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and respond to emergencies as required to meet business needs.
