Assistant Learning & Development Manager Key Responsibilities:

  1. Training Program Management: Assist in the development, coordination, and implementation of training programs and initiatives tailored to the needs of employees across various departments.
  2. Onboarding and Orientation: Facilitate orientation sessions for new hires, ensuring they receive comprehensive information about company policies, procedures, and standards.
  3. Skills Assessment: Collaborate with department heads to conduct skills assessments and training needs analyses to identify areas for improvement and skill gaps among employees.
  4. Training Delivery: Deliver training sessions and workshops on topics such as customer service, leadership development, technical skills, and compliance requirements.
  5. Learning Resources: Curate and maintain learning resources, including training materials, e-learning modules, and reference guides, to support ongoing employee development.
  6. Performance Support: Provide ongoing support and guidance to employees seeking assistance with job-related challenges, performance improvement, and career development opportunities.
  7. Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with training regulations, industry standards, and organizational policies, maintaining accurate records of training activities and employee participation.
  8. Evaluation and Feedback: Collect feedback from participants and stakeholders to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, making recommendations for enhancements and adjustments as needed.
  9. Learning Culture Promotion: Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the organization, encouraging employees to take ownership of their personal growth and career advancement.
  10. Budget Management: Assist in budget planning and allocation for learning and development initiatives, optimizing resources to maximize impact and return on investment.


  • Previous experience in a similar role within a 5-star hotel environment in Qatar is essential.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Hospitality Management, or related field.
  • Proven track record in designing and delivering effective training programs and initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse groups of employees.
  • Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and other training technology platforms.
  • Knowledge of learning and development best practices, adult learning principles, and instructional design methodologies.
  • Certification in training and development (e.g., CPTD, CPLP) is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.
