Assistant Food and Beverage Manager Job Description:
Assist the F&B Manager in planning and executing the overall strategy and objectives of the food and beverage department.
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of restaurant, bar, banquet, and room service staff to ensure efficient operation and exceptional customer service.
Assist in recruiting, training, and evaluating F&B staff members, including servers, bartenders, hosts/hostesses, and support staff.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all F&B outlets to ensure consistency in service and quality.
Monitor and analyze F&B sales and expenses, and work with the F&B Manager to develop strategies for maximizing revenue and minimizing costs.
Maintain inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies, and place orders as needed to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing waste.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations in all F&B areas, including food handling and storage practices.
Handle guest complaints and concerns related to food and beverage service promptly and professionally, striving to resolve issues to the satisfaction of the guest.
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop menus, special promotions, and catering options that meet the needs and preferences of guests.
Conduct regular inspections of F&B outlets to ensure cleanliness, organization, and adherence to company standards.
Assist in coordinating and overseeing special events, functions, and catering services, ensuring flawless execution and guest satisfaction.
Maintain positive relationships with suppliers, vendors, and service providers, negotiating contracts and agreements as needed.
Assistant Food and Beverage Manager Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Previous experience in food and beverage operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
